C&L Performance 07-09 Shelby GT500 High Flow Air Intake Kit

C&L is proud to announce the release of the ULTIMATE air intake upgrade package for 2007 and newer Shelby GT500 Mustangs. Through extensive development and testing, we have been able to create a package that delivers more than 35% additional range and 36% more total airflow to the engine than the stock intake assembly can provide. This system has more range than any other aftermarket intake upgrade for these vehicles, which means that it will support a higher level of power than any other competing products. By using our proprietary flowstand to develop the mass airflow transfer function, we are able to program our tuning solution to the same standard that Ford coded into the processor from the factory. Instead of using "trial and error" or "guessing" to arrive at the proper MAF adjustments in the computer, we have programmed our tuning adjustments with the EXACT and proper values. This ensures that the computer has a more accurate control of the air/fuel ratio throughout all engine operating conditions.

The most notable effect of this is the fact that the "target" air/fuel ratio programmed into the computer is basically the same as what is actually realized in testing. Even though the Shelby computer is programmed to deliver a 12.0 to 1 air/fuel ratio from the factory, it ends up going into the 10:1 range at wide open throttle in "stock" configuration. If you look at the dyno charts provided on this page, you will notice that our air/fuel ratio graph is MUCH more consistent than the stock one, and it hovers just under the 12:1 point throughout the entire upper RPM range.

A look at the first dyno chart shows this comparison, and gives you a look at our "Best" stock baseline as compared to our "Best" run with the stage 1 package installed. Due to the fact that the temperature during testing was between 92-93 degrees, the numbers are a bit lower than what this same vehicle had generated in "more ideal" conditions earlier this year. All of these tests were performed at normal/full operational temperature, so you are guaranteed that these numbers are representative of "real world" driving conditions.

If you look at the second graph, you will see ALL of the "Back-to-Back" runs performed during this testing. Running these tests "over and over" ensures that you are getting a TRUE indication of what the performance improvements will be like "on the street". If we were to perform a complete cool down and put ice on the supercharger and intake assembly, we certainly WOULD have seen bigger numbers. It is our goal to provide customers with a realistic representation of what is typical for normal operating temperatures. As you can see, the gains were still impressive, and most people should expect to see anywhere from 60 to 70 more rear wheel horsepower from the "Stage 1" package, regardless of their baseline numbers .

Dyno testing for our upcoming "Stage 2" System, which utilizes a 2.60" diameter blower pulley showed a peak output of 520 HP at the rear wheels, click HERE.

In "Back to Back" dyno tests at full normal operating temperature, we realized a solid 100 rear wheel horsepower gain over the stock configuration. Testing with the 2.80" diameter blower pulley showed little real improvement, making the 2.60" pulley the ideal choice for our "Stage 2" upgrade. This represents a 4 psi increase over the stock boost level, for a maximum of up to 13 psi. The attached dyno chart shows the effects of running different blower pullies on this engine.

We are still working on getting an aftermarket snout assembly for the supercharger for the "Stage 2" kits, but this has proven to be difficult. If we are unable to resolve this issue "immediately", we will begin selling pullies with tools in the "Stage 2" package to satisfy those who are unable to wait for the replacement snout assemblies. As always, we will post an update just as soon as these upgrades are available. This system has been in development for more than a year, and we are pleased to say that it was "worth the wait". We are confident that this upgrade is truly the best available for the new Shelby, and we are sure that our customers will agree.

Pipeline 2010 Camaro Cold Air Induction Fastlane

This is a massive 4” true cold air intake that draws air from the lower grill opening of your 2010 Camaro. The “Pipeline Air Intake” provides two key benefits for your Camaro. The first being that the system scavenges cool air from below the vehicle rather than hot “under hood” air, that provides lower air inlet temperatures and cooler air that carries more oxygen into the engine...
